Jay leaves Bodine

1981-10-29 Hitkrant (NL)29 October 2011: According to the Hitkrant that appeared 30 years ago, ruptures started to show between Jay and the rest of the band. The news flash on page 3 suggests that the management was trying to glue the fracture, but the split turned out to be inevitable. Allegedly, the rest of the band was annoyed that Jay appeared in a TV-show on his own. The audiostream of the show hosted by Robert ten Brink can be heard here and is quite amusing:

Therefore, Regular Rocker believes that the real turbulence was kept under the lid. Imagine what it must have felt like for the band to lose their singer, after having looked for one for such a long time. The first album was only out for 8 months.
